General Appearance: He looks like your typical homeless 10 year old orphan living on the streets. Clothes: He clothing is tattered and dirty. His shirt is still rather baggy, as he lived off of “hand me downs” or what ever else he can find. His shirt is made of heavy grey wool, and it goes down half way to his knees, and the sleeves cover his hands. He wears a braded rope around his waist like a belt to make it look like a tunic. Just like the armor wearers he has seen. His dark grey pants are also cloth, but they are better fitting. He has low heel leather shoes, similar to moccasins. He feels he has done well for himself, as many of the children he used to live with had much less. Items: He has no items, but he does have a few beads in his hair. They where given to him by an older girl who took care of many of the homeless children on the street before she was killed. Weapons: Wulf had to fend for himself when we was banished from the Rishona city. Companions: We used to live on the streets of Rishona with dozens of other homeless orphans. Attitude: Very timid, like most riff raff of the streets. Very cautious, an shy. Rich people who show off there wealth scare him the most, even more then the imperial soldiers. Abilities/Powers: He is human, and has no special powers unlike many Elvin and other magical races. However living on the streets he learned to savage very well, the term “Ones mans waste is another mans treasure” is no truer than for this youth who is a survivor against all odds. Like a Rat, this Street Rat is capable of sensing danger before it happens, and as such, this enhances his timid behavior. He is very agile for a human, able to dart into small places, and is able to navigate in very small areas. It is a good skill for getting away from the authorities. Weaknesses: He is a homeless orphan who lived on the streets for 4 years. He has no combat training at all, and as such, little effort is needed to defeat him in battle. He drinks very little, and eats even less, so he is very skinny and scrawny. He is not too strong either. Therefore he does his best to avoid a fight. Languages: He can only speak the common human language. History: Wulf was born to a peasant family of farmers. His family were people of modest means, and they made barely enough to feed themselves by selling there goods at the city market. When Wulf was of age, he helped on the farm with light chores. When Wulf was age 6 the taxes throughout Eastern Endora where severally increased to increase the already high standard of living for the rich upper human class citizens. Wulf's family was not able to pay these new taxes and keep there family fed, so they refused to pay any more tribute till the taxes were dropped to a reasonable rate. Wulf's family was arrested, and there home was destroyed. The land now became a part of the imperial grounds. Wulf his mother and father where thrown into the city cells of Rishona. His family was charged with crimes against King and Country and where treated as common criminals. In the cells they where fed barely enough to keep them alive, and Wulf was growing skinnier. It was not long before Wulf small enough to squeeze through the iron bars of the prison. His parents pleaded with him to run to freedom and live. There should be no reason for Wulf to suffer for his parents supposed crimes. For the next 4 years Wulf lived on the streets with a band of homeless orphans, lead by a beautiful teen girl Jada. Wulf often risked going back to the prison to visit with his parents, and every time he brought them some food. It pained him greatly to see his parents, the only people he loved, in so much pain. Jada soon took a special liking to Wulf and gave him some beads she got from her mother before her death. He put them in his hair to remind him that there will always be someone to love him. On one visit to the prison Wulf's parents told him that they overheard the guards. They said that where going to transport a large group of prisoners to Bateau port where they where going to be taken to the kingdom's largest and most secure prison. Wulf thought about it for a while and decided this would be a good opportunity to help his parents escape. Jada, Wulf and some of the older homeless children thought of a plan to help his parents escape, and when the timing was right they where going to put their plan into action. Unfortunately the plan was a total failure and Jada and both of Wulf's parents were killed. Wulf managed to escape for a short time before he was found. Being so young, he was not killed by the guards but he was banished from the city. He thought the guards had compassion for him, but it was the opposite, it was a fate far worse than an instant death. Wulf had to fend for himself in a wild untamed wilderness. Guards and patrols where no longer a threat, but hunger, untamed wild, and the elements where now his enemies. Wulf had been walking for days. It had been almost a week since he had been banished from Rishona city. He still feels lucky to have gotten away with his life. But the wild is still no place for a 10 year old human orphan. His life was not taken by the imperial soldiers, but now it is threatened by his own starvation and the untamed life of the wild. If he could survive for a few more days, he thought about getting a weapon to defend himself with. He was so hungry, and it had been 2 days since his last drink. He closed his eyes and tried imagined himself at a great feast, but the thought of food increased the pain of his empty stomach. Continuing his fantasy, he tried to recall the smells of the city bakers, but he was remembering the time him and a few other children where caught playing in the city aqueduct. Wait, that was not bread he smelled, that was water! He opened his eyes but could see nothing but grass, but he could hear the gentle chatter of a wild stream very near by. He tried to run in the direction of the sound, but he did not have the strength to keep his balance, he fell into the water. He plunged his head deep into the cool and clear water, and began to drink as much as his little stomach could hold, he only lifted his head for the occasional breath. His thirst had been quenched and he rolled over. Lying on his back he started to splash the water and laugh with delight being immersed in this heaven. |
